Targeted Support in Mathematics (Enhanced)

Targeted Support

Who can take part?

Schools can access Enhanced support if they do not currently have the capacity to meet the intended outcomes of the standard teaching for mastery offer in which they are involved. Participant schools must be committed to developing a long-term relationship with the Maths Hub in order to sustain improvements in maths.

What is involved?

Schools taking part will receive bespoke support from a Maths Hub Intensive Support Partner (ISP). The ISP will work closely with school leaders to build capacity, create a supportive culture, and lay strong foundations for improving the teaching and learning of maths.

Together, the ISP and the school will explore, plan, deliver and sustain a tailored improvement plan.

Funded support is available to provide release time for staff to develop and deliver improvement work, tailored to the school’s context.

What will you learn?

  • School leaders will follow a bespoke school development process to identify and address priority areas for maths
  • Teachers will demonstrate developed practice in a focused area of maths teaching
  • School leaders will understand what constitutes good foundations for implementing teaching for mastery

What is the cost?

This is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
